Great view of the capabilities we've built into this great bag. Set it up the way you want, approach books or enroute charts on either side. Will hold more than enough for a couple of XC legs or heavy duty approach and navigation work. Single hand operation for opening and closing the compartments make flying and setting up for the next approach a snap. No heads down in the weather.
Pencil slots.
Nice view of the right side attach strap configuration. The rounded, leather tipped straps are easy to feed through the hooks and tighten down for the perfect fit.
Also, the side pocket is perfect for a SureFire flashlight or for a sunglass case etc. The closure strap is designed to allow for various lengths of items to be securely stowed.
Storage pocket on the underside for the straps when not installed. Take this to the mission planning room with the straps neatly tucked into the pocket and carry using the main handle. When you get to the jet, open the pockets and install. Simple as that.
Big picture overview shows the strap system, perfectly angled for the install hooks. Couldn't ask for a better, more secure fit.
T-6 Students and Instructors - Fly Boys finally did what no other company was willing to do! In coordination with AETC, we developed and produced this fantastic bag that will make life so much easier on your instrument and navigation sorties.
Over the course of six months of development, with countless interactions and iterations we finally fielded the best possible product for cost and effectiveness.
This project took the inputs of dozens of current and past T-6 pilots and students, multiple in-aircraft fittings and eventually flight testing. Careful consideration was given to durability, FOD prevention, front and rear cockpit use. The result is a bag that exponentially increases cockpit efficiency and safety. This design allows the user to preposition relevent pubs in the side by side compartments and stay "heads-up" during critical phases of flight.
The benefits to this are obvious to students and experienced pilots alike.
Please see our photos and the details of the features we've built into this great product.
INSTALLATION TIPS:Secure the aft straps (closest to you as you sit in the seat) first, then secure the forward straps. This ensures that the aft portion of the bag doesn't interfere with canopy closing by interacting with the forward edge of the canopy (front cockpit) or the canopy crossbar(rear cockpit). Secure the right side straps first (as you sit in the cockpit) to put the edge of the bag as close to the Mag compass as possible. This keeps the bag properly positioned so that the AoA indexer doesn't interfere with opening the left flap.
